School competition “Museums. Parks. Manors"

Dear friends!
We are glad to begin the new academic year embarking on the next season of the school competition “Museums. Parks. Manors". After a year's break due to the pandemic our Museum of the History of Jews in Russia is ready to welcome yet again high school students from the 8th grade up.
Participation in the competition is a special format of visiting the museum. A team or an individual participant sets on a quest through the Museum’s exhibition. The quest’s tasks do not require any specialized prior knowledge or an accompanying guided tour. The secret of success is simple: read the questions carefully, study labels and exhibition’s texts and use your general knowledge actively. The accuracy of the answer always depends on your erudition and attention!
The Museum’s conditions for the participation in the quest are:
- being in the required age group. Two separate sets of questions are designed for students of 8th-9th and 10th-11th grades. Younger children lack basic schooling for our material and just get tired;
- booking in advance by phone. We welcome the competition participants daily, except Wednesday and Saturday, during the museum's opening hours from 12:00 till 19-00. The museum is small and taking into account the epidemiological situation, by booking the visit, the participants will encounter a safer and more comfortable environment.
Another good news: this year the competition’s committee has provided for the participation of students with reduced mobility. We welcome both these initiative and new participants! For them we have prepared a special on-line edition of the quest.
To engage the creative potential of all the participants, a new format of a special “reflective” task has been designed. Save up points - it all depends on you!
We wish all the participants the best of luck!
So... everyone to start!
