The history of one photo
Dear friends!
On the eve of Victory Day, we are happy to publish this material of our colleagues who conducted a research into one of our archival documents - a photograph from May 1945. To be honest, this is one of our favorite artifacts: three officers, celebrating the end of the War. However, we didn’t know much about them... This photo, of course, is amateurish, but we rarely come across a picture so vibrant with atmosphere and of such an excellent quality… Who would doubt, when looking at it, that they “brought it closer as best they could", frequently risked their own lives frequently and longed for the Victory.
Peace against war and life against death - this is how we see it - the victory of life! We hope you feel it too.
